10 Superstars Who Will Leave WWE In 2017

4. The Big Show

The Big Show seems like he’s almost out the door, so enjoy him while you can! All you ungrateful weasels chanting for him to retire are finally getting your wish! Are you happy? Yes? Actually, yeah, me too.

He may end up calling it a career after his match with Shaq, which seems about a good as time as any to stop (not taking into account any point in the past five years, of course). There’s really nothing left for him to do, so it’s time for us to say our farewells.

Why should he go? Well, WWE has so badly pushed Show over his career that beating him at this point wouldn’t mean anything. They could call up Nakamura, have him go over Show in 30 seconds, and it wouldn’t be any sort of star-making moment. The man just has nothing left to give, and we’ve seen him wrestle so many hundreds of times that we’ve simply tired of him.

Show absolutely deserves his place in the Hall of Fame, and he deserves one last Mania match with Shaq, but WWE can’t really justify having him stick around in any sort of full-time role after that.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
