10 Tag Team Wrestlers Who Held Their Partners Back
6. Kevin Nash
When Scott Hall and Kevin Nash jumped to WCW to form the nWo, they quickly became superstars. While both men were popular in WWE (and as Diesel, Nash was WWE Champion for almost a year), in WCW, they became bonafide draws, raking in millions of dollars for the company and themselves.
The real-life best friends became a tag team known as The Outsiders and spent the next two years competing largely as a unit. While The Outsiders would go on to become one of the company's most well-known and successful tandems, Hall - who, as Razor Ramon, had some classic matches in WWE - was always the worker of the group.
Admittedly, Hall was suffering from drug and alcohol problems that hamstrung his performances, but being as how he's considered one of the greatest wrestlers to never win a world championship, WCW could still have gotten more out of their investment in him. Hall would end up getting a few title shots and headlining shows against the likes of Sting, but had he been pushed as a singles wrestler throughout the course of the nWo's run and not as Kevin Nash's sidekick, the sky would have been the limit.
