10 Terrible Managers From WWE's Past

7. Coach

Not to be confused with the future Jonathan Coachman, Coach found himself managing Mr Perfect after Bobby Heenan hung up his managerial boots and transferred to the commentary desk in 1991. Heenan was always going to be a tough act to follow and by this point many considered Perfect a good enough talker to carry himself in future storylines.

WWE disagreed and saddled him with John Tolos playing the role of a stereotypical high school coach complete with whistle and tracksuit. If you never got the chance to see Coach in action then just picture every high school coach from any cartoon or family film. Calling the character one note would probably be an overstatement.

The most perplexing of Coach's quirks was how he refused to take the whistle out of his mouth during any promo segments resulting in a mumbled mess of consonants and wheezes.
