10 Things You Didn't Know About Macho Man Randy Savage

1. Savage Held More Titles In WCW Than In WWE

When you look at the career of Randy Savage as a whole, you will mostly think of him as a WWE guy. That was where he was at the peak of his career and pop culture fame. He was in the WWE from 1985 until 1994; while he was in WCW from 1994 to 2000. One of the most interesting stats when comparing his two stints with these major wrestling companies is the fact that he held more titles in WCW in six years than he did in WWE for nine. The main reason for not holding as many titles in the WWE was the fact that titles didn't change hands as often in the era of Hulk Hogan, and not as much television exposure. Once the Attitude Era was on the brink of breaking, wrestling titles in both promotions would be just like hot potatoes. In the WWE, Savage was Intercontinental Champion once and WWE Champion twice. At WCW, he held the World Championship a total of four times.
