10 Things You Didn't Know About Macho Man Randy Savage

6. Savage's WWE TV Debut Was Not A Match, But On Tuesday Night Titans

After Randy Savage lost his "loser leave town" match with Jerry Lawler, he appeared on WWE television for the first time in the same month. Savage wasn't introduced to us in the traditional way of showcasing him in a match on Saturday Night Main Event or Prime Time Wrestling; which were the main television shows in 1985. They debuted Savage on Tuesday Night Titans; which was more of a variety type show that lasted from 1984 to 1986. Savage was brought into the WWE and touted as a big free agent for the large list of managers that they had at the time. There was Classy Freddie Blassie, Bobby Heenan, and Jimmy Hart all on Tuesday Night TItans looking to procure the services of Savage. That was quite the list of Hall of Fame managers that were trying to align with Savage, but in the end, he chose Miss Elizabeth. His early days in the WWE, Savage would be portrayed as a crazed bully who mistreated Elizabeth and threatened anyone who would look at her. Crazy how true to life that turned out to be.
