Reigns was born into the wrestling business. His father is Sika, one half of The Wild Samoans. The Samoans dominated both the National Wrestling Alliance and WWF in the 1980s, winning 21 tag team championships in their careers. This might go some way to explaining Reigns ability as a team player in The Shield. Reigns is also a blood relative of current WWE tag team Jimmy and Jey Uso, their father Rikishi, and the late Yokozuna and Umaga. Not only that, Reigns is a cousin of the Great One, The Rock!
