10 Things Everybody Gets Wrong About Modern WWE

6. Vince Has No Idea What He's Doing

If Vince McMahon didn't know what he was doing, WWE wouldn't be here today. It's that simple.

His booking techniques are as maddening as his apparent unwillingness to listen to his audience, and there's truth to the argument that he's out of touch. The Chairman will always default to his frustrating old habits when making big decisions, because those are the methods that brought his company to this position in the first place. They're everything he knows, and while he could definitely stand to benefit from modernising his approach, the man clearly understands what he's doing.

An incompetent man could never have built the most successful professional wrestling organisation in the sport's history. His vision, drive, and ambition have reshaped the wrestling business like nobody before him. Yes, he delivers more than his fair share of duds, but we're talking about a man who took his father's niche entertainment company and turned it into an all-conquering global empire. He has outlasted every one of his competitors, and his company will never be challenged again, which is largely thanks to his leadership.

Perhaps he has failed to move WWE forward from its current state, but does that really matter when their market position is this secure?
