10 Things We Learned From The Usos On Talk Is Jericho

3. Evolving Their Entrance

Jericho compliments the team on their overall package, stating that they have a good understanding of how to get the crowd involved, particularly with their entrance. It's called the Siva Tau, the Samoan version of the New Zealand Haka, and they first pitched it to Billy Kidman who vetoed it. Six months later Kidman came back and told them Vince wanted to see them do it. The boss was impressed and suggested they perfect it and they could start doing it on TV. In a funny twist, initially they did the Haka instead of the Siva Tau, mainly because that was the famous one, and the Samoan community were offended. They said they heard from many of their family members including both parents, and were even accused of being "kayfabe Samoans". So they switched it up and went to the Samoan version and have been doing it to great results ever since.
