There are approximately zero people who would argue that today's product is better than that of previous eras. The in ring work is solid, but does anything have meaning anymore? Why are the wrestlers fighting? WWE seems to have lost its way in this department and they have some great examples of how things should be done on their own Network. In other words, WWE is currently trying to reinvent the wheel when they have 30 years of content that show that the basics are what matter.

The old shows on the WWE Network are almost always better than the current product. Even the NXT show run by HHH, is a show where the old school rules of wrestling apply, and it work well! It is always oh so simple: Good guy vs. bad guy, a personal issue, and a match to build towards. WWE has a proven track record of providing us with some of the best feuds of all time that drew money and were reality based. Shawn Michaels vs. Bret Hart, Stone Cold vs. The Rock, Hulk Hogan vs. Randy Savage all had stakes, characters, and issues. Vince and company have a proven resumé of success sitting in their vault, ready to be revamped for the 21st century.

There is no need to reinvent something that has worked for generations, which is why WWE needs to wake up, study up, and step up to provide this generation with feuds and stories to remember.
