It's inevitable.

Cody kicked off the Raw after 'Mania by paying tribute to his father's legacy and showing a picture of Dusty holding the WWE Title in 1977. Then, he went into detail about how that photo tricked him as an eight year old boy and made him yearn to officially win a belt his father never did.

Obviously, this is leading to a main event push at some point. Again though, the company might put Cody's World Title shot on ice for now and have him face Seth Rollins in a rematch at 'Mania Backlash; that'd both fit the purpose of the upcoming pay-per-view and explain why Seth appeared with an uncharacteristic handshake on Monday.

Maybe Rollins, like Rhea Ripley, spoke to Adam Pearce and confirmed the match? Christ knows how authority figures are supposed to work around here these days. Regardless, Rhodes' promo was sensational and made it clear that Roman Reigns is his ultimate hurdle.

Bring it on.
