Cody Rhodes best be careful if he's going down the wholesome family man route full-time, because wrestling fans will turn on that eventually. In fact, it’s almost a given that Cody will hear some boos now people have what they craved. Sadly, that’s wrestling fan 101.

People get what they wanted all along, then they suddenly reject it and cry out for something else. This fan isn't throwing stones there, 'cause he's as guilty as anyone of asking, 'What have you done for me lately?!' to WWE's writing team. The audience that follows this stuff is wonderful and passionate, but also prone to spitting the dummy once bored.

Rhodes has been an excellent hero, and even prolonged his babyface magic in spite of losing at 'Mania 39. People rallied behind Cody after that, but that was then and this is now. His chase is over, the story has been finished, and now fans will want a fresh wrinkle from him.

Fingers crossed there are no booming "CODY SUCKS" chants within months of him winning the belt.
