10 Things Post-WrestleMania 40 Raw Told Us About WWE’s Future

5. Jey Uso Challenging Damian Priest

An awful lot of people dumped on 'Mania 40's battle of brothers between Jimmy and Jey Uso. Look the match up on X, and you'll see a litany of complaints about how the match sucked, was too slow and/or flopped like Matt vs. Jeff Hardy back in 2009. This writer thinks that's a bit harsh, but can't disagree it wasn't as good as it should've been.

Nonetheless, WWE has moved on rapid by putting Jey over Drew McIntyre, Bronson Reed and Ricochet in a four-way headliner on Raw. That means Uso will be Damian Priest's first hurdle as World Heavyweight Champion. Their bout surely won't headline Backlash in France on 4 May, but it is a neat addition to the lineup if Triple H books it in Lyon.

Jey really deserves to stick around in the main event conversation anyway. He's been awesome as a babyface since splitting from The Bloodline and doing his own thing on Mondays. It's also hardly outlandish to think Uso could beat someone like Priest either.

It's good to see WWE stick by Jey.
