4. Drew McIntyre Is Up First For CM Punk

WWE has pivoted away from CM Punk vs. Seth Rollins, at least for now. Monday's flagship made it clear that Drew McIntyre vs. Punk is on the cards first once CM returns from injury. The big Scotsman and the outspoken returnee have become fierce rivals - their issues have 100% overtaken any beef Punk has/had with Seth.

This is fascinating, because Punk vs. Rollins was the original plan for 'Mania 40. That was scrapped due to Punk's surgery, and now everyone has moved on. Sure, creative will return to CM vs. Seth someday, but it doesn't feel right as things stand right now.

Drew has to be in Punk's firing line first once the arm heals up.

McIntyre is doing a sterling job of appearing unhinged and totally incapable of understanding how his own hatred of CM Punk keeps coming back to bite him on the arse. That obsession with trolling Punk is eating Drew alive. Their match should be a special one when it eventually happens.
