10 Things Pro Wrestling Is Still Terrible At

9. Moving On From Tired Ideas

WWE fans know what they're going to get when calendars turn to November. Suddenly, everyone gets all brand proud, and some even enjoy sporting show-specific baseball caps (Dolph Ziggler) to publicly push their so-called loyalty. It's boring, it's formulaic and it's time the company moved on.

Raw vs. SmackDown, it may surprise them to learn, isn't a good replacement for title feuds or one-on-one rivalries. There's nothing at stake - this hackneyed idea has been Survivor Series' on/off main theme since 2005, and that sucks. 15 years of quite stunning mediocrity later, it's still going on.

AEW should pay attention here. They haven't been around long enough for this to become a major problem, but it will be one if they're not careful. Wrestling in general has a real problem with moving on from concepts that are past their sell-by-date.

Survivors is proof.
