10 Things That Are Inevitable Before WWE WrestleMania 31
6. Multiple PPV Events Without WWE Title Matches
During the build up to SummerSlam, Paul Heyman has been doing a lot of media for the main event as well as the future of the WWE Title if Lesnar wins it. He made a great point about how for many years we've been spoiled with WWE Title matches by having them at every PPV and they don't always have a special feel to it. That's true. Heyman also said that Lesnar wouldn't be the type to defend it every month. It would be when he wanted to. In other words, we're going to see several PPVs without a WWE Title match. That's going to be tough for WWE to sell to fans that are so used to WWE Title matches on every PPV every month (for nearly 20 years now), but if they can create some big matches then it's okay that the title isn't on the line every month. This is one of those things that we have to see how WWE handles it before we can really criticize it. Lesnar's not going to work every PPV. He doesn't have to. It's different, but that doesn't mean that it's bad.
