10 Things That Must Happen Ahead Of WWE Fastlane 2017
4. Chris Jericho Should Stay Off TV
It may sound somewhat counterintuitive, but just as Rollins should stay off TV to help the development of his angle with Triple H, so too should Chris Jericho's non-presence be used to add to the storyline currently brewing between him and Kevin Owens.
Owens of course turned on Jericho in brutal fashion on Raw this week, with Jericho eventually being stretchered out after taking a powerbomb to the apron and having his head smashed into the ridiculously expensive Jeri-tron 6500. And that’s not even considering the broken heart he sustained to boot...
Naturally, Jericho will be out for revenge in due time, but that time shouldn’t arrive just yet.
First off, he should make himself scarce to sell the damage of the 'injuries' he sustained, otherwise there’s the risk of undermining the entire betrayal segment. Letting the events fester will also make the eventual return all the more emphatic, and, perhaps most importantly of all, it’ll make Owens think he’s gotten away with it.
For Jericho to then reappear, most likely at Fastlane to have a hand in Owens’ title match, will be the ultimate sucker-punch and the perfect precursor to a likely grudge match at WrestleMania.
