Christopher Daniels' last AEW match was contested on the 12 May Dynamite broadcast. There, he and longtime tag partner Frankie Kazarian were forced to disband, owing to a loss against the Young Bucks.

Where's he been since?

That he's been kept off AEW programming for this long a period suggests the company will treat his eventual comeback as a marquee storyline. His last storyline, perhaps.

The 'Fallen Angel' will turn 52-years-old in March. He's wrestled everywhere, he's wrestled everyone, and he's a credible asset to a promotion in a behind the scenes capacity as well as his actual wrestling ability, as proven with his current role as a coach and AEW's Head of Talent Relations. There's little left for him to achieve, however, Daniels possesses such star power that he shouldn't simply vanish from television, never to be seen again. That'd be a very WWE move for AEW to execute.

A short comeback feud to send Daniels off on a high note sounds more apt. This is nothing to do with his age, either; he can still go, having had a hoot of a match vs. Madman Fulton during his short stint back with IMPACT Wrestling in September. With regards to the future direction of AEW, though, it's difficult to pinpoint where, exactly, Daniels would fit in, if not solely in a backstage position.
