9 Things That Should Have Happened On WCW’s Final Nitro

1. Ric Flair Returns To Help His Greatest WCW Foe

With the likes of DDP, Buff Bagwell and others out of the equation temporarily, it would be left to Ric Flair and Booker T to sprint down the aisle and chase away The Rock. Ideally, 'The Great One' would have brought some backup of his own, but they would quickly leave after making their point.

This would leave the 'Nature Boy' and Booker standing tall as the ones who managed to defend Sting. With Eric Bischoff as their leader, the trio would have represented quite the force to then subsequently invade the WWF post-WrestleMania (or even at the supershow) and kickstart the whole 'Invasion' angle properly.

Aligned with others like DDP and Bagwell, it would have been a much stronger WCW unit.

WCW fans would receive the feelgood moment of seeing Ric Flair and Sting, the greatest of rivals for many years, ending Nitro's run on a high note. Then, people would also see The Rock's huge interruption afterwards, and the seeds would be sown for an epic 'Us vs. Them' feud with which to draw monster business for the rest of the year and beyond.
