10 Things That Would Happen If WWE Seriously Started Listening To The Fans

7. There'd Be A Clear Distinction Between Raw & SmackDown

First, it's important to temper this with the obvious: SmackDown is different to Raw because the two-hour format makes it a slicker, easier watch every week. That's not quite enough however. WWE must work harder to separate both brands and make them uniquely attractive propositions for fans who wish to consume everything.

One solution would be to be alter minor presentation quirks like camera angles, announcer styles and stage sets. Above that, the promotion would have to present Raw and SmackDown as if they're produced by different people who favour different kinds of wrestling.

Look at NXT as an example of how individuality and a fresh flavour can differentiate it from WWE's other programming.

Are we suggesting either Raw or SmackDown become NXT? Not quite, but it'd be nice to see some major contrasts between what WWE produce on Mondays and what they feed fans on Tuesdays. It's up to them how they go about that.
