10 Things That Would Improve WWE Brand Split

1. Settle On A Definitive Split Or Not

One thing WWE absolutely must do is decide whether or not there's a definite split between Raw and SmackDown. The WWE Draft last Summer suggested that both shows would have their own set of contracted wrestlers and there wouldn't be room for cross-pollination.

That was ruined almost immediately by booking Brock Lesnar (of Raw) against Randy Orton (of SmackDown) for SummerSlam. After that pay-per-view, WWE did settle into a groove and kept things separate, but they have slid back into letting rival talent appear on shows they're not even supposed to be working for.

There's either a split or there isn't; it really can't work both ways. Occasionally writing Raw talent onto SmackDown (and vice versa) does nothing for the credibility of the brand extension at all.

Raw stars need to stay on Mondays and SmackDown talent must remain on Tuesdays. That exclusivity helps both, because then fans will know they can only see a certain performer by tuning into that wrestler's designated brand.
