10 Things That Would Improve WWE Brand Split

7. Give New Talent More Time To Find Their Feet

It was grossly unfair of WWE to judge Apollo Crews so quickly after promoting him to the main roster. Watch Crews in NXT - he fit the product that was being sold to a receptive audience. How on earth was Apollo supposed to make that work in the entirely different world of the main roster without adapting?

There was no patience whatsoever with the high-flyer. Crews was fed scraps, not given any semblance of a character to work with and was treated like this was 1995 and he was about to job for Razor Ramon on an episode of WWF Superstars.

WWE abandoned all hope with Crews rapidly, and he has struggled to find his feet ever since.

This is part of a wider problem, though. WWE are so desperate to create new stars that everything is rushed, when someone like Crews clearly needed tangible storylines to sink his teeth into that would endear him to a more casual audience. Instead, he was a hot topic for mere weeks coming out of NXT before being largely ignored and visibly overlooked amidst the main roster glut.
