5. Brand Warfare Returns With A Vengeance!

Both Adam Pearce and Nick Aldis have done remarkably well with the overcooked GM gimmick recently. In fact, one would go so far as to say they're two of the best authority figures WWE has had in a long time. They're certainly less egregious than Vince was near the end, or that camera-hogging stint Shane McMahon had as SmackDown overseer.

Pearce and Aldis have worked out because their input is smart and minimal though. Their bickering and dual bids to make Raw and SmackDown the "A show" shouldn't become an on screen focal point. WWE definitely doesn't need some sort of brand warfare story heading into Survivor Series this year, put it that way.

Or worse, a return for the Bragging Rights concept.

The current fanbase at large hasn't been given much of a reason to care about Raw vs. SmackDown. Why would they? There's nothing to be gained from investing in a phoney war with zero real stakes other than one show thumbing its nose at the other and saying, 'Na na na-na na!'.

The product doesn't need Raw vs. SmackDown obsession.
