9. He Was Arrested For Drinking And Driving...
Being surrounded by the six sides of ropes, rather than locked inside a cell, is a very healthy alternative considering some of the choices that have shaped Kurt Angle's career path. On September 9th, 2013, Angle was arrested on suspicion of Driving While Intoxicated after being pulled over by police in Decatur, Texas. To make an already difficult situation worse, the arrest occurred about an hour after Kurt had finished with a live episode of Impact and taping earlier that night in Wichita Falls. This creates a serious image issue when the face of your company decides to get behind the wheel after drinking immediately after leaving work. Sadly, it goes a long way to reinforce the stereotype of pro wrestlers both using and abusing prescription drugs and alcohol, simply to cope with the day to day struggles that come with the job. Thankfully for TNA, Spike, Viacom and everyone else involved that Kurt was able to walk away without any damages and avoid any jail time after this unfortunate incident.
