10 Things To Expect With Triple H Running WWE Creative
4. A Renewed Spotlight On Former NXT Stars
It's impossible not to think that certain former NXT stars may get a renewed spotlight on them now that Paul Levesque is steering the ship.
At present, there are ten main roster talents who are former NXT Champions. Seth Rollins has been a made main event man for years by this point, Big E is unfortunately out of action for the foreseeable future, Drew McIntyre seems destined for an Undisputed WWE Universal Title shot at Clash at the Castle, and Dolph Ziggler's time with the NXT Championship was as the wily veteran designed to help nurture Bron Breakker.
Away from those names, though, that leaves Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens, Shinsuke Nakamura, Boddy Roode, and Tommaso Ciampa.
Considering how much Ciampa was a trusted go-to guy of Triple H's in NXT, one would hope that Hunter eases him away from the Miz and has him revert back to the Psycho Killer ways that saw him have two runs with Goldie. Under Vince McMahon's watch, the size and age of Ciampa were always going to find him fighting an uphill battle. With Triple H running the show, that can only be a positive for Tommaso.
Likewise, will this see the return of 'Glorious' Bobby Roode? After all, the Canadian brought that gimmick back for one night only at an Ohio live event this past May. Will Shayna Baszler finally get the main roster respect her dominant NXT days demanded? Then there's Judgment Day, which houses three darlings of Triple H's NXT in Finn Balor, Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest. Will Pete Dunne take the place of Butch? Is KO destined to become a genuine mainstay of the main event scene? And while it seemed all hope was gone, could we really see the return of sh*t-kicker Nakamura?
