10 Things Vince McMahon Has In Common With A Small Child
2. He Hates Losing
Young children think the world revolves around them, because it does, ostensibly.
Parents and guardians dedicate almost their entire lives to their children, whose needs and wants have to come first. They eat first, every weekend is built around their exercise, entertainment or extracurricular activities, and everything you once held dear - a few cheeky pints after work, binge-watching a prestige drama into stupid hours of the night, an expensive treat of a visit to a nice restaurant - is sacrificed. The children come first; it's their world to live in.
Which makes it rather difficult when they lose at something.
To them, that's not how things work. Losing at a video or board game is an unfathomable development they are not wired to sanction. They haven't worked out the concept of fairness yet because their perception of the world is tilted entirely in their favour.
Enter - yes! - Vince McMahon, who hates losing so much that, according to Triple H himself, he once stormed up to bed in a huff because he was defeated at pool - an enjoyable recreational game with no stakes that does not matter - by his daughter and son-in-law. His teammate at the time - his teammate - Linda took the loss in good spirits. Vince however was such a baby that he had to go outside to cool off.
This might be the most real comparison yet; the grown man literally went to the naughty step for time out.
