1. The Perfect Palate Cleanser
The Raw after 'Mania is exactly what any tired wrestling fan needs the night after the slog of 'The Showcase Of The Immortals' itself.
Sunday night was grueling, and while its seven-and-a-half hours did yield countless entertaining moments, getting through it was a Herculean task. This was made worse by a terrible post-show situation that left thousands of fans trapped in New Jersey as the trains home reached the end of their timetable and Uber costs spiraled out of control. It was as tiring as it was stressful, but the Raw after 'Mania cured all those ailments.
The vibe was fun, laid back, and refreshing. With nothing to stress about, the audience were allowed to relax as WWE wiped their slate clean following 'Mania, and with the impending Superstar Shakeup preventing the company from launching into too many new stories, there was no reason to get stressed out about trivial matters like booking decisions. It was like watching a Marvel flick after Metropolis, or downing a limoncello following a big Italian meal, and it was absolutely needed after the excess of the night before.
