10 Things We Learned From Attending WWE WrestleMania 35 Live

3. Progress?

WrestleMania 35 was supposed to be the WWE pay-per-view that pushed women's wrestling stronger than ever before. In a way, it was. Becky Lynch, Ronda Rousey, and Charlotte Flair contested the first all-female 'Grandest Stage' main event, and while their Raw and SmackDown Women's Title match wasn't quite as great as many expected, it produced the right victor in Lynch, with all three participants feeling like they belonged in such a spotlight.

It's a shame, then, that another women's match was deemed the bathroom break slot for some fans.

Sections of the MetLife cleared out as Sasha Banks and Bayley defended their Women's Tag Team Titles against Nia Jax and Tamina, The IIconics, and The Divas Of Doom. Ours became particularly baron. Dozens of people rolled their eyes as Banks' entrance music hit and took themselves to the bathroom, leaving big patches of grey seats dotted throughout.

This is mostly WWE's fault, as the build to this bout was rushed and lackluster. They put little effort into giving people a reason to care about this match, but it's still disheartening to see such a sight after all the progress the women's division has made.
