7. The "Diva" Pressure That Doesn’t Exist Now

Then, WWE told Becky that she needed to buy some "nice dresses".

She didn't know what the hell to buy. Lynch had always just tried to let her wrestling do the talking, but now she was expected to be a "WWE Diva", and she didn't know if that'd be her thing. Regardless, Becky went dress shopping, but ended up feeling so out of her element next to "the most beautiful women I'd ever seen".

Obviously, there's still some pressure on wrestling's women to look a certain way. This has lessened in recent years, but it definitely still exists in WWE circles to a point. 2022 is nothing like 2013/2014 though - back then, women had to look "sexy" constantly, and Lynch wasn't totally comfortable with it.

Austin was fairly surprised to learn that women were banned from throwing punches during matches when Becks joined the company. They were expected to be models more than wrestlers, which is something Lynch and others worked hard to change.
