This may come as a shocker.

Becky had a hard time working out how she was supposed to act during the height of her run as 'The Man'. There was a complete lack of vulnerability, and that meant some internal struggles despite high praise from all corners of the wrestling world. Lynch just...wasn't feeling it.

The build towards her explosive post-SummerSlam 2018 promo felt way more natural for her. She was still in a heel mindset back then, and ended up putting too much pressure on herself to force the audience to react a specific way; Becky knew she was swimming against the tide there, 'cause there was no way they were booing her for turning on Charlotte Flair.

Things settled down a bit in time for 'Mania 35, but Becky always has this underlying sense of discomfort. It was fascinating to watch her hyper-analyse the most critically-acclaimed portion of her entire career. Even Austin seemed a touch taken aback by that.
