Here's another moment that raised Austin's eyebrow.

Jericho admitted that he didn't ever really feel like he was one with his character until 2008. His return the previous year had been lukewarm, and the guy just sorta' meandered without any real sense of development or direction. Then, Chris took some acting classes on his own dime and stumbled across something huge.

He learned how to dip into a character's psyche and draw emotion out of it that'd feel real. Suddenly, he had another string to his bow that meant he wouldn't have to recycle old catchphrases every week to get over. Jericho changed up his look, started wearing suits, and evolved into something fresh - this was new territory for him.

Austin was fascinated by that, not least 'cause Jericho had already achieved so much before '08. Chris can see where he's coming from, but said the shift in mindset and second feud with Shawn Michaels that year totally changed his approach to wrestling.
