Michelle, who was married to Borne between 1993-2004, says Matt told her he went on an eight-day cocaine binge with next-to-no-sleep after being fired by the WWF. He was distraught over losing his gig with the company, and knew deep down he'd signed over rights to the Doink character upon signing with Vince McMahon.

That didn't stop Matt from trying to use Doink elsewhere, but the threat of legal action stopped that. Besides, Michelle giving birth to his kids Tegan and Matthew straightened Borne up for a while, because he viewed them as his second chance. He was an addict though, and his addictions got the best of him yet again.

Matt put Michelle in hospital after accusing her of cheating on him one day. He broke her nose, then later apologised and had no recollection of the incident. Remarkably, and to the surprise of friends/family, Michelle forgave Borne.

She'd eventually leave after more problems, and even thought Matt might kill her for doing so. Wow.
