10. Footage Of His Real Goal Is Painful

Throughout VICE's documentary, there's a prevailing sense that Owen wasn't as hooked on the wrestling business as certain members of his famous family. He loved it, of course, but it didn't envelope his every waking moment. Owen wanted to be at home with his wife and kids.

That comes across loud and clear.

At one point, a short video camera recording from Martha catches the real Owen Hart. He says hopefully all the "aches and pains of wrestling" would be worth it someday, and admits he only wanted enough money to make his family comfortable so he could spend more time with them. Then, he flashes a cute smile.

Unless you have a heart of stone, you'll tear up a little here. Owen wasn't dragged into typical wrestler tropes like believing one's own hype or losing his grip on reality. This proves that, and shows a humble human who couldn't wait to get home.
