Candidly, this is true. If you were a massive WCW fan at the time, or have carried out your own research for fun over the past 22 years, then ‘Dark Side’ won’t teach you anything new as such. The episode is a retread of old ground from start to finish. It’s entertaining, but not the most shocking episode out there.

Don't skip it though.

The mayhem of Bash At The Beach 2000 is worth reliving, but just don't go into the thing believing you'll have your socks blown off if you've read some WCW books, listened to countless podcasts or studied just how chaotic World Championship Wrestling was before and during Vince Russo's reign of terror.

Perhaps the biggest thing that'll stand out to WCW veterans is just how unwilling some are to own up to their own mistakes. The sheer amount of sniping, particularly from Russo and Jarrett, on hand is something to behold throughout.
