Yikes.

This sort of thing is likely to trigger a negative response from a lot of people on social media, but no Jerry Lawler deep dive would be complete without a mention for his beloved "Puppies". His dirty old man routine was once a familiar trope on WWE programming, and, whilst it's easy to slate it now, it did fit the product at the time.

Austin asked where that word came from, or if Jerry had come up with it himself. Lawler admitted that he hadn't. He actually poached it from Road Dogg after hearing the DX man say it in passing during an in-ring promo. After that, Lawler was off to the races and "Puppies" became his thing.

Horny young teenagers watching in the late-90s lapped it up. When Jerry started talking about how people knew they'd probs see some "women's breasts" if they attended a WWF show though, Austin quickly moved on.

That was likely smart!
