As soon as they reached the backstage area following the skit, Kevin Nash and his buddies were met with some frosty looks. On the September 1, 1997 Monday Nitro show, the nWo performed a parody of The Four Horsemen. In the midst of it all, Nash - dressed up like Arn Anderson - poked fun at 'The Enforcer' and his drinking problems.

One week earlier, Anderson had announced his retirement from active in-ring wrestling. The promo had been an emotional one, but the nWo parody was designed to put heat on the heels before a showdown at Fall Brawl. Nash claims there were no problems until the wives of Arn and Ric Flair told them they had been made to look like fools.

Incredibly, Nash says that he asked to borrow Anderson's own beer cooler for the segment. This means that the one he carried on television was the very same one Arn carted around with him backstage.

After conferring with his wife and Flair, Anderson asked Nash why he had decided to be so hard on him.
