Paul Wight may soon transform into "Captain Insano".

Shortly before sitting down with Renée for the interview, Paul found out that AEW's legal team are attempting to secure a wrestling trademark on that name. That's something he's giddy about, 'cause it'd be a neat throwback to his cameo in The Waterboy with Adam Sandler.

2021 pro wrestling just continues to be weird, doesn't it? AEW are seriously trying to nab the rights to name the ex-Big Show after his role in a 1998 movie. At least Hulk Hogan will mark out at it; Paul also told Renée that Hulk was infatuated with the "Insano" gimmick, so much so that he thought Wight should bring it to WCW after shooting the film.

Hogan described the character as pure "money", and Paul actually believes his later 'Captain America' gimmick was inspired by some of "Insano's" over-the-top banter. It blew Paquette's mind that something from a Sandler flick could find its way to AEW soon.
