The rebranded Faarooq Asad looked foolish, but nobody was going to say anything to Ron about it behind the scenes. It was news to Simmons, but Austin said that the entire roster refused to take the p*ss out of someone they respected so much despite his plight.

They totally called his stupid helmet the "skull bucket" though.

That's as far as the ribbing went. Those who knew Ron figured he'd fight his way out of McMahon's overtly-cartoonish presentation. Meanwhile, those who didn't were just sh*te scared of the former WCW World Champ or had heard stories about his hard nut attitude.

Only Simmons could get away with that baby blue leather attire without having his helmet crapped in. That's pretty much what 'Stone Cold' said on the show. He admitted that Ron is sort of lucky everyone either admired or feared him in the WWF locker room during '96.
