Someone give Corey a big pat on the back for bringing this up.

He asked what that mysterious lockbox business was all about during the build to WrestleMania 32, and wanted to know what WWE's real plans were. It kinda' seemed like his question caught Shane off guard, which was cool. He didn't have a satisfying answer for Graves, which wasn't.

Shane did say that the lockbox was never supposed to be a huge plot point. Wait, what? Why even mention it at all during promos before 'Mania then? That barely makes any sense. The only thing McMahon did reveal to Corey is that his character was a "man of his word" and handed Vince the keys to the box post-pay-per-view.

Repeat: WAIT, WHAT? Not only does that fail to answer where the story was headed, it also doesn't satisfy those who wanted to know what the embarrassing secret Vince had inside the box was. According to Shane, it was never meant to be meaningful at all.
