10 Things We Learned From Something Else To Wrestle With: The Mega Powers

3. Bruce Is Clearly Proud Of The WrestleMania V Build

Mega Powers Explode

Perhaps more so than any other storyline he was directly involved with, Bruce Prichard is proud of the whole "Mega Powers Explode" epic.

It was he who jotted down most of the little details that ebbed and flowed throughout the story, and he was also the one tasked with explaining them to Hulk and Randy personally. That was right in Prichard's wheel house; growing more impassioned when Conrad asked about the nuances of the story, Bruce explained it with visible joy.

To this day, he considers The Mega Powers tale one of his greatest achievements in wrestling, because it told both sides of the coin. There was Hogan's justification for looking after the innocent Elizabeth and wanting to make the team with Savage work. Then, on the other side of things, there was Randy's growing paranoia that threatened to bubble over.

The whole thing was a masterclass in pro wrestling storytelling, and Bruce was right in the thick of it.
