9. Madusa Felt There Were Too Many Women In WCW

A lot of words have been dedicated to the issues surrounding AJ Lee's criticism of Stephanie McMahon on Twitter, and how the Diva feels there should be greater time afforded to the women of WWE, and more of them being featured on TV. Soon to be an entrant into the WWE Hall Of Fame, Debra Miceli didn't only compete as Alundra Blayze, she also appeared on WCW broadcasts as Madusa. Memorably dropping the WWF Women's Title in the trash on an episode of Monday Nitro, Miceli writes in the final issue of WCW's magazine that there are simply too many women in the promotion for her liking. According to Madusa, the idea of the Nitro Girls was fine as merely a warm-up act, but they should not be getting involved in storylines, never mind matches. Advising WCW officials to clear out a lot of the girls under contract, Madusa warns that in a male-dominated industry such as wrestling, having too many women around can actually harm the ones who are serious about professional wrestling. Strong words, and not ones AJ Lee is likely to agree with, despite her 'pipebomb' promo on the cast of Total Divas in 2013.
