10 Things We Learned From WWE In 2016

7. The "Divas' Revolution" Ended Up Turning Out Okay

The "Divas' Revolution" was one of the most-maligned storylines of 2015. Though it started off with a bang when NXT Women's Champion Sasha Banks and fellow brand stars Charlotte and Becky Lynch jumped to Raw, it soon turned into a weird stable war that saw some of the best talent lost in the shuffle, and the Bellas overshadowing everyone. Even when Charlotte captured the Divas' Championship, her feud with Paige was terrible, to put it mildly.

Turning the corner into 2016, though, things changed. WWE turned Charlotte heel, which was absolutely necessary, and built up to a show-stealing Charlotte-Sasha-Becky three-way match at WrestleMania. Though Charlotte won the bout in an inadvisable decision, things got even better when the rosters were split by the draft.

Sasha and Charlotte ended up helming the women's division on Raw, trading the Women's Title back and forth in a series of incredible matches that pretty much redefined main roster women's action. Meanwhile on Smackdown, Becky claimed the blue brand's version of the belt, and Alexa Bliss has really stepped up to the plate as her main rival.

So, slowly but surely, things got a lot better. There's still room for improvement, and hopefully we'll see even more in 2017.
