10 Things WWE Actually Got Right This Week

2. Banishing Shane O'Mac

Kevin Owens Shane McMahon

Shane McMahon is brilliant at playing the smug, deluded heel with all the power on WWE TV. It’s just a shame that he’s been so mishandled as a character that now all people want is to see the back of him.

The Miz’s face run has been effectively neutered by successive screwy losses in his feud with Shane O Mac. There was a sense of creeping dread that the same could happen with Kevin Owens.

The big “KO Mac feud”, as nobody is calling it, has not been without its missteps. ‘The Prizefighter’ consulting his legal team instead of, y’know, fighting was a bit deflating. Luckily, their ladder match on SmackDown was the decisive feud ender it needed to be.

From brawling on the ramp before the bell to Shane taking a stunner at the end, this was the cathartic experience fans were looking for. We can only hope McMahon’s firing sticks and isn’t retconned in a couple of weeks. The WWE Universe is burnt out on Best In The World nonsense.
