10 Things WWE Are Getting Dead Wrong At The Moment

It's easy to criticise WWE for any number of things. So, let's do just that, shall we?

Before we get into the criticism, it's worth pointing out that WWE is actually doing a lot of things right at this moment in time. Drew McIntryre is having a great run as WWE Champion, and his current foe Randy Orton is doing some of the best work of his career. Things are looking bright for Roman Reigns in his role as the latest Paul Heyman Guy, and the nuanced storytelling between Sasha Banks and Bayley has been a highlight of the entire year.

Now that those niceties are out of the way, when it comes to WWE there are always going to be glaring misses in their programming. Some are more grievous injustices than others, and some are so blindingly short-sighted that they make you question your own intelligence.

Personal preferences and blind hatred aside, there are a ton of problems in the creative for Raw, SmackDown, and NXT. From the cream of the crop being inexplicably mistreated to decisions that have affected entire divisions and even brands, WWE has given us plenty of cause to take to the internet to vent our frustrations...

10. Kevin Owens: Whipping Boy

Remember when Kevin Owens was Universal Champion? Well, the days of 2016 are way behind us now, and Owens has been left to saunter around the mid-card without direction. For a character and a wrestler of his quality, it's just another example of WWE wasting a talent that would thrive if given the chance.

Owens is one of those rare performers who can elicit raucous cheers or relentless boos from any crowd. In the mould of his former on-screen best friend Chris Jericho, The Prizefighter brings intelligence and intensity to his gimmick, be it heel or babyface.

WWE is doing great things in most of their championship storylines right now. However, one of the better things to come from the Attitude Era was the sheer number of spotlights being shone on competitors away from the title scenes. Rather than being the whipping boy for the likes of Aleister Black, Owens should be in the thick of the most engaging storyline on SmackDown right now that don't involve a belt.
