10 Things WWE Failed To Learn From WCW's Demise

7. Repeatedly Retreading Old Ground

Admittedly, this is something WWE have taken steps to sort out, because it was all getting a little silly - the sheer amount of rematches and scenarios that are rehashed in the company is often unnerving. This is something WCW simply couldn't get their heads around, sometimes fans enjoy seeing something different. However, in the years since WCW went out of business, WWE have fallen into the same old traps that did nothing to help their competition appear fresh and vibrant. How many times were fans expected to sit through a new great white hope going up against the nWo, only to inevitably fail, for example? In WWE, The Authority is booked as the chief heel faction, and isn't yet quite as tired as the New World Order would become, but there's still an air that WWE's writers are happy to play things the same way as WCW did, only changing when it's far too late. It doesn't need to be that way, there should be more thought going into things, especially the biggest stable in the company.
