Billie Kay beat her trainer, Madison Eagles, in her pro debut, but that wasn't the end of the line for the two women. For the next several years, they'd cross paths as friends and foes.

While working for the Pro Wrestling Women's Alliance (a sister promotion of the PWA) early in her career, Kay became a two-time PWWA Champion. During her second reign, she and Eagles collided twice, and ended up splitting the series - in May of 2010, Kay successfully defended the belt against Eagles, but the following month, Eagles defeated her protege for the title.

Their unique relationship also hit American shores as part of SHIMMER Women's Athletes. As The Pink Ladies, Eagles and Kay teamed regularly, coming up short in a tournament to crowd the league's first tag team champions.

Kay also competed in singles action in SHIMMER. After scoring a win over Ayako Hamada and Sara Del Ray in a three-way match, she earned a shot at the SHIMMER Championship. The reigning champ was Madison Eagles, who successfully defended the belt. They would tangle one more time in Eagles's 2013 return to SHIMMER and once again, the mentor won.
