Bobby Roode did as he was told, and he went someplace else to get over. This place was the burgeoning TNA promotion, run by Jeff Jarrett and his papa Jerry. Jeff would go on to become something of a mentor for Roode, and the two maintain a close relationship to this day.

Roode made his debut for TNA in 2004, and was immediately aligned with the villainous Team Canada stable. Alongside Petey Williams, Eric Young and Johnny Devine (and a few others from time to time), Roode experienced a decent amount of success and got to work with some of the best in the game.

Over the next 12 years, Bobby Roode would do everything that was available to an individual in TNA. He won all the titles and held a huge amount of records.

He wrestled everyone as a good guy, he wrestled everyone as a bad guy. He went from a stable enforcer to a dependable hand to one of the biggest and most impressive stars in the company.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
