5. Their First WWE Title Feud Was In 2003 When Cena Challenged Lesnar

That was Cena's form of trash talk as part of one his raps that was done to hype up the match with Lesnar. Brock Lesnar was the babyface WWE Champion following his WWE Title win over Kurt Angle at WrestleMania 19 and he needed an opponent. It could have been a veteran wrestler, but instead they found a new challenger for him. Cena ended up winning a tournament after beating Eddie Guerrero, The Undertaker (not clean) and Chris Benoit to become the number one contender to Lesnar's WWE Title. The build to the match was strong with Lesnar sending Cena into the ring post with a F5 while Cena bloodied Lesnar after a title shot to the head. Their match at Backlash 2003 match it was pretty boring. Both guys were still developing as talents and they didn't have a lot of chemistry. It was probably a mistake to give them 15 minutes. It would have been better if they got about 10 minutes instead. Lesnar ended up winning clean with the F5 to end it decisively. It will be interesting if WWE mentions that this match took place, but it has to be noted that this was their first WWE Title feud. The match at SummerSlam 2014 is a much bigger deal, of course.
