Like a lot of independent women wrestlers, Nattie spent some time in Shimmer before she was able to get into WWE. Shimmer began as a company in November of 2005 with a mission that they would give "female wrestling talent a serious platform on which to display their skills." It's become very popular among online fans. Nattie made her Shimmer debut in October 2006 and she lost to the great Sara Del Rey. These days, Del Rey trains women wrestlers for WWE at their Performance Center in Orlando. They are considered two of the best women's wrestlers of the last decade, so it's pretty cool to know they tangled back in Shimmer nearly a decade ago. She worked a few Shimmer shows before signing with WWE in early 2007. If she didn't sign with WWE she probably would have wrestled in Shimmer more often just because it was a place where women's wrestlers went to get noticed. A number of women that worked there have been signed by WWE & TNA. It was just another example of how Nattie worked her butt off to get to where she wanted to go and that's WWE.
