10 Things WWE Fans Need To Know About Rob Gronkowski

9. He's Younger Than You Might Think

He's not washed up either.

Gronkowski is still only 30 years old. Think about that for a second; he achieved so much in the NFL in his 20s, and he's eagerly seeking a new challenge since hitting the big 3-0. That kind of ambition should be admired, not denigrated, and nobody should count Rob out here.

The ex-Pat has a good decade of ring work ahead of him if he's smart and doesn't try to work a full-time schedule with WWE. That's unlikely anyway. Gronk has a history of back injuries and concussion issues that'd prevent him from diving head first into the pro wrestling pool without stopping to think about his health first.

He retired from the NFL because he was tired of getting smashed by tackles. That's worth keeping in mind when analysing his WWE deal - Gronkowski will be a part-timer, and he's not going to be wrestling on SmackDown every single week or propping up house show cards.
