Spud's start in wrestling was humble; he wasn't big, he wasn't muscular and he wasn't eye-catching, but his high-flying moves and energy certainly were. As a bright-eyed teenager, Spud took his first steps to becoming a wrestler by training under a chap called Barry Charalambous and learning at the SAS Wrestling Academy.

Shows on the UK independent scene for promotions like Revolution British Wrestling and (eventually) the old Frontier Wrestling Alliance paved the way for bigger and better things. Once Spud traded high-fiving fans for the heelish, conceited Rockstar persona, people started to take more notice.

Although Spud may be a newer name to some fans only interested in WWE, it's important to note he's an industry veteran. Aged 34, he's been involved in wrestling for well over 15 years. Finally, his journey has taken him to the promised land of WWE.
